Private, owner-operated utility

Jon Family Archive Backup is a personal desktop backup configuration, not a public storage service. This site provides information only. It does not offer subscriptions, account registration, access to the archive or backup storage for visitors.

Authorized use

The owner uses the utility only with accounts and files they are authorized to access. Use of Google Drive, Cloudflare and rclone remains subject to each provider's applicable terms and licenses.

Backup limitations

A versioned file backup is not an atomic whole-computer snapshot. Files changing during a run may require another run. Some private data, credentials, software environments and caches are intentionally excluded. The owner is responsible for keeping decryption material separately, reviewing failed runs and testing restoration before relying on a backup.

Removing a source file does not automatically remove its cloud copies. The owner controls cloud retention and can stop the utility or revoke its Google access.
