Jon Family Archive Backup

A personal desktop utility for encrypted, version-preserving backups to the owner's Google Drive.

What it does

The utility uses rclone on the owner's computer to copy selected project files directly to Google Drive, verify uploaded files and restore backups. File contents and filenames are encrypted locally before upload. It does not require a second full-size local copy.

Limited Google Drive access

The Google connection requests only drive.file access for files created through this backup connection. It does not request access to every file already in the owner's Drive.

Not an archive viewer

This information site contains no family records, backup files, credentials or encryption keys. It provides no account registration or sign-in. The backup utility is intended only for its owner, not as a public service.
